Timeless Form

A new form in cast iron, engineered for popcorn performance with applications in a range of culinary methods, the Signature Kettle is more than utility.  The geometry of its interior gives distinctive form to its exterior -- a form drawn from traditional rustic heart-fire cooking vessels, adapted for the modern kitchen. An integral footing provides stability on the flat plane of the stovetop, sized for standard appliances.

Multifunction.

The Signature Kettle serves a range of cooking methods:

  • roast
  • steam
  • popcorn
  • soups & stews
  • cake mold
  • deep fry
  • sourdough

The rounded interior keeps the contents in a dynamic state of movement toward the center of the surface, from collecting drippings for poultry au jus to steaming fish over rice, from economical deep frying to effortless popcorn popping and more. Oven safe to 500+ F. Induction, electric, and gas compatible.

Dimensions:
Interior diameter: 9.5” • Across handles: 12.5”
Height without lid: 6” • Height with lid: 9”

Care: For popcorn, wipe clean with a dishtowel, allowing residual oil to condition the surface. Wash periodically with warm water, no abrasives. If there are stuck on bits then soak in warm water for 30 min (but no more than a few hours), wash and rinse clean.

Engineered for performance

The Signature Kettle is cast in iron, a plentiful, natural element from the earth’s crust. Long ago, iron was formed through fusion in the cores of massive stars. When the stars reached maximum mass and energy, they collapsed and then burst into supernovas, releasing the iron in use today. Cook’s Kettle cast iron is 100% recycled— or, recycled stardust. "Humans have used cast iron for over three thousand years......we named an historical age after it! Cast iron's global availability, low embodied energy manufacture, and 100% recyclability are unmatched by any other metal.

In cooking applications, cast iron's combination of thermal conductivity and high heat capacity allows for fast heating and uniform heat distribution. Today, the world's great chefs cook with cast iron and it makes an awesome kettle!"
